Two sets of weight training exercises that will work out your entire body in the least amount of time (in a short workout) and still give you amazing strength training results.

There may be times during the year when you may not have the time to do a full weight training workout that involves a lot of time at the gym or, you may just want to do a shorter workout, not necessarily a lighter workout - particularly during summer There are plenty of 2 compound weight training exercise combinations that you can do that will work out your entire body in the least amount of time possible then if you focused on individual specific exercises.

Here a couple of combinations:

Combination #1

Combine a pull-up exercise with a deadlift exercise.

The pull-up exercise (how to do pull-ups) is the best upper body exercise. It will work out your back, shoulders, chest, biceps and triceps all at the same time. A fabulous exercise to do.

Before you start to do pull-ups, I suggest that you do a few quick and light to moderately heavy pull-down exercises on a machine just to warm up.

For pull-ups, you can use a variety of angle grips - wide, medium and close. I prefer the wide-grip as it really works the lateral muscles nicely and gives you that beautiful v-shape, sculpted back look but I will also do the other two since they will work back muscles a little differently. Always good to hit and target different muscle groups from various angles.

The deadlift exercise (how to do deadlifts) is another great combination exercise working out your legs, hips, glutes and back.

By doing these two exercises in a short workout, you will not feel cheated. This workout can be done in 30 to 45 minutes.

Combination #2

Combine pull-up exercise with a leg press exercise.

Begin with the pull-up - already discussed in detail above.

The leg press exercise (how to do leg presses) on the leg press machine will work your leg muscles along with your glutes.

All 3 of these exercises in either workout combination are tough to do - involve a lot of strength, endurance and proper form. Not only will you get an amazing strength training workout targeting every muscle group of your body as much as is possible, you will also get a good and effective cardio workout.
