Beginner to Advanced Levels
A upper body Pilates mat exercise which stretches the shoulders, upper back and chest.
How to do this exercise:
Lie on your left side on the floor with knees bent and stacked at a 90 degree angle in front of you. Keep both arms straight and in front of you with left arm, hand on bottom and the right arm on top. Head lies on the side and relaxed on the mat in front.
Inhale and move your right arm in a semi-circle over your head. Simultaneously, move your upper body towards your right and rest your right arm flat on the floor on your right side.
Return to the starting position.
Repeat on left side.
Do 2 to 3 sets of this exercise.
