Back Exercise - T-bar Rowing Machine

Excellent exercise for the back focusing on the lats as well as working the traps and spinal erector muscles.

Performing the exercise:
Firmly plant your feet on the platform of the machine and lean onto the padding or support. Grab the handles of the t-bar. This is your starting position. Slowly bending your elbows and keeping them close to your side, pull upwards as far as you can go. Now slowly lower the handles (bar) until you return back to the starting position. Repeat the movement.

Variations:

Can also be done using using a barbell with a t-bar attached although range of motion is shorter because the plates have a shorter distance to travel before touching your chest. Also make sure your knees are slightly bent and back is straight.

Other Back Exercises: Seated Pulley Rowing

Fitness Tip: Working out your abs helps you to maintain a strong back.
