1. “How To Cut Your Medical Bills By 70%”
By  Linda M Pruetting ©2001

In the United States today, 70% of all deaths that
occur are related to heart attack, stroke and cancer.
50% of all of those deaths caused by heart attack,
stroke and cancer are preventable and diet related.
By eating right, you can also prevent a large number
of other health problems, such as diabetes, fatigue,
headaches, digestive problems, chemical imbalances,
some immune deficiencies, and allergies, as well as
many others.  You can dramatically slow down the aging
process when you eat right and get your proper
nutrition.  You can even help your body heal faster
from injuries and surgeries when you get all of the
nutrients your body needs.  In fact, 70% of all
doctor’s visits are diet related with the number one
complaint being low energy level.  Arguably, by eating
a healthy balanced diet every day we can reduce the
risk of serious illnesses causing premature death by
50% and cut out 70% of all doctor’s expenses from our
budget.

Most people in America do not get the nutrition that
their body needs on a daily basis to look and feel
their best.  In a recently released study by the
American Medical Association, it was found that 96.4%
of all Americans have some sort of nutritional
deficiency in the general population.  The typical
American diet includes too many fats and sugars and
not enough complex carbohydrates, fruits, vegetables,
dairy and protein.  This has caused an overwhelming
problem with obesity.  According to the Center for
Disease Control, 61% of adults in the American
population are overweight.  Almost 27% of the adult
Americans are considered obese, meaning grossly
overweight, making America the most overweight country
in the world.  Did you know that conditions related to
being seriously overweight contribute to more than
300,000 deaths every year, and are second only to
smoking as a cause of preventable death?  What most of
us do not realize is that good health is dependant on
good nutrition, and that by making sure our body gets
the nutrients it needs on a daily basis and moderating
our calorie intake, we can easily regulate our weight
gain.

Americans have a tendency to yo-yo diet.  Many
Americans have tried to lose weight using unhealthy
practices, by cutting out entire meals from their diet
or participating in diets that severely cut the amount
of food and thus the amount of nutrients we take in.
When we deprive ourselves of necessary nutrients and
starve ourselves with overly restrictive diets, we
initially lose the weight we want, but it bounces
right back once we go off the diet.  This is because
restricting our food intake too much wreaks havoc on
our metabolism.  Cutting out meals or restricting
calorie intake to less than 1200 calories a day
actually has the effect of slowing down our metabolism
because our body thinks it’s starving.  When our body
thinks its starving, we burn fewer calories for energy
when we’re not eating during the day, and when we do
eat, all the calories we don’t burn immediately turn
directly into fat.  When we lose weight on such diets,
the weight we’ve lost has been water weight, muscle
mass and fat. When we gain it back, it comes back as
fat only, and is much harder to lose subsequently.

When you don’t eat as you should, you take a serious
gamble with your health.  When you don’t get all of
the nutrients your body needs on a daily basis, your
body cannot function at its optimal level.  Your
immune system becomes depressed, increasing the risk
of contracting communicable diseases and of serious
long term illnesses.  You don’t burn calories or
absorb the nutrients you take in as efficiently,
making you feel tired and fatigued, sometimes leading
to headaches, muscle cramps, soreness and
irritability.  You create chemical imbalances in your
body, sometimes leading to depression and other mental
disorders.  Also, because you aren’t burning calories
efficiently, you become overweight, storing the extra
calories you take in as fats.  When you store fats in
your body, you also store the toxins you take in
through eating, drinking and breathing, causing
further chemical imbalances and causing many common
health problems we see today, especially allergies.
Being as little as five pounds overweight increases
your risks of serious long term diseases such as
cardiovascular disease, stroke, gout, gallbladder
disease, diabetes, and cancer, to almost five times
what it would normally be!   You are also more likely
to experience sleep apnea and osteoarthritis when you
are overweight.

There is a simple solution out there to weight control
and proper nutrition.  For more information on how you
can ensure you get your proper nutrition on a daily
basis, please contact LandMEnterprises@yahoo.com with
